2013 800 xc dog bones
« on: September 14, 2019, 04:44:58 PM »
Hi, having discovered my new to me tiger had been lowered, and that's why the centre stand grounding, and putting up , was such hard work, I have bought some new dog bones from a breakers yard. As adventure biking is all new to me, and quite a short arse, I've now seen, lots of people buy dog bones to increase size, that may be too tall for me. I asked the breakers afterwards, if he knew if the bones were stock, or raised height, but had no idea. I'm not mechanical, so will get a local garage to change over. Does anyone know the length of a stock bone, so I don't fit the wrong one. Thanks in advance
Chipster. ( 25 years on sports bikes, but last year on a tiger, has been the best fun ever)

Stock dog bones are 6" (152mm) hole centres.

Best get him to grease up all four bearings while he's at it.

Just noticed you have the XC, mine is XR, not sure if they're same but a look at parts list will tell.

Just checked, they are the same part number T2057323
