Time to consider an adventure bike
« on: November 11, 2019, 10:18:23 AM »
Hello,  I recently joined the forum as a part of my research into adventure bikes and what they are and which to consider buying. Looking at the usual suspects Tiger 800, KTM, V-strom, etc. research is half the fun.   Kevin

Best advise I can give is:

Test ride.

We all have our own opinions & being as we are in a Tiger forum that opinion might be slightly coloured.

I concur, gotta test ride all the bikes you like the look of. Ideally for several hours each.

I tried the V Strom, NC750, Tiger 800 etc. Liked the Tiger so much I booked another test ride to be sure, and then I was sold.

Thanks to all. In Minnesota test rides will not happen for about 5 months so I'll hang around here and read all I can until I can ride one. :152:

Understanding that Spring is a long time coming in Minnesota, keep a watch on dealers further south in Iowa and Missouri/Kansas. You may find a new or used bike available for test drive that you like.
