Motorcycle Live 2019 - NEC - Opinions?
« on: November 17, 2019, 09:13:52 PM »
Anyone attended over the weekend?
Don't know whether to make the trip. I keep falling into the trap of going, then saying not going again, then going again...., etc., etc.
Not like it was, "Back in the good ol' days; Honda fours, Kawasaki triples, water cooled Suzukis, British oil leaks...., get my drift?" - Nostalga's not what it used to be.
And god said, "Come forth."...., but I came fifth and won a teapot.

I went on Saturday, stayed till 4 so overall it was a good day out.  The bike park was further away, about 5 mins.

I've not been for a couple of years.
It got to the stage where it was hard to distinguish from the previous year bar the odd new model

I went last year for the first time in many years and really enjoyed it.   Went yesterday and nothing wrong just didn't grab me the same.     If I lived in a city
I could see everything there for free!
If you like that kind of thing then it was fine,   just that I'd probably rather go to the national bike museum!

Worth the visit. A bit 'same old, same old' but some new stuff there.

Less clothing and accessories stands I thought.

Triumph. I think they are unveiling the new Tigers next month.

Stayed most of the day.

I normally go mid-week, won't go on a weekend because it's rammed. Didn't have enough holiday this year - rather short on it after getting made redundant from the previous job, which also meant I could no longer park on the NEC West car park for free. Wanted to have a look at the new Rocket 3 but I think I can manage till it comes to my local dealer.

I saw the Rocket 3's on display which has been well and truly slammed by all the R3 owners I know as useless for touring and carrying pillions. Our club chairman just bought a low mileage old model instead of a new one he'd planned to get.
