Hi thankyou for the link regarding the Haynes Manual, used the discount code and it worked. I think its one of the rare times I have had a discount code work for me. I remember Haynes manuals of old trying to figure out why the part on my old  car didn't come off as per the book when it should usually a bolt hidden somewhere.  But older and hopefully wiser I hope so more home servicing for my Tiger.  Many thanks :)

I was wondering whether to buy the latest version or not but I think Amazon screwed up the prices and I got it for cheaper than advertised.

When I first started out with car/bike manuals years ago, you could but a manual called Autodata. They were brilliant. Instead of pictures that don't always make things easy. They had hand drawings that helped a lot more  as they could show the part you were working on when it would have been hidden by another part. I don't think they still make them anymore which is a real shame.

The biggest thing that has always let the Haynes manuals down is the pictures. Some of them in black and white are hardly recognizable.

As a novice mechanic, I actually prefer Mark Barretts service manual, as IMO its clearer (photos and description).
I had to find my old Haynes Ducati manual to compare quality to the new Triumph one. Its much better paper, and hardback too. Shame...
