Clunking noise and loss of power
« on: December 01, 2019, 09:31:54 PM »
Please help, now and again on acceleration I get a weird noise and loss of power. Have adjusted chain and washed the bike recently but have no idea what it could be. Will try post video soon

How much slack do you have in the chain at mid point of bottom run, at its tightest position?

Have you checked the gearbox sprocket for excessive wear? The chain could be slipping over the sprocket, I had this happen on my first bike.. CB125T many, many years ago

Haven't had time to check front sprocket but defo first thing I'll check along with chain condition and tension properly, I haven't had bike long but did come with allot of recites including 8 stamps for an 6year old bike, I work away all week and only use the bike to travel 4miles to work monday and home Friday. Looking for few inputs ready to get the tools out friday.
