The dealers should do a lunchtime launch for us retired folk. I'll not be going to a midweek teatime launch, getting stuck in rush hour traffic, had my fill of that.
Current bikes Tiger800 XRx, Tiger Sport 1050, Ariel FH 650, Yam Serow 225.

Staffordshire Triumph are doing another one of their launch evenings "See the new Tiger 900 range at our showroom on Thursday 19th March from 6:30pm" and they're a lot closer for me  :028:

PM your email address to me and I'll forward the email, it will link you through to ticket office...

Im off to the factory talk on mon 9th, had a good look over both types at the excel and pleased with what I saw.  Put a deposit down subject to test ride on both types.  Probably go for the rally pro, in fact booked in for the level 2 experience in April on the pro.  Happy days.

Reasonably honest review:

Disappointing that they all seem to be coming from India.

Surprisingly thorough review and covers GT well. Long for a decent UK road test though!

Although they said  absolutely wrong things, that's where you see the power of suggestion of marketing.

The sump oil contenance is 3.15l against 3.4l on my Tiger, so 0.25l not 0.5 and then they really want to believe the 800 does 0-60 in 4.7s  :112:, there's enough videos on YouTube showing sub 4s times, that's this great placebo effet of their new crank, I'm sure it feels much more tougher, but difference is about 0.1s in the real world.

I've been following this Indian channel for a while, I find them to be pretty good though, nice conclusion !

They want to appeal to the new generation, that love integrated gadgets, can't live without their cameras etc.

I find this ironic, because that generation is not really adventurous, and mostly don't even have the means to afford the price of a Tiger 900  :150:.

Like all the people I know who tested the New Honda ATs, saying it's too complicated and too many gadgets, but it's people more around 40-50.
