Chain for me any day

Remember my Yamaha guy driving a superT telling me he never saw any shaft crap up from Yamaha, but yeah the Germans aren't so good and price whise honestly it's a non argument, I can keep chains between 35-40K km then costs me 200, a friend said shafts service replacement cost minimum 2000, maximum 4000, so I can spend 10 chains and do minimum 350'000km adding a slight price for chain oil.

So when shaft died on BMWs at 40-50K... As you said chains any day !
