Sargent front and rear seats
« on: December 07, 2019, 04:14:07 PM »
These seats are widely acknowledged to be the best you can get for comfort. Ridiculously expensive when new but definitely worth the investment. I hope this link works:

https://www.sargentcycle.co.uk/acatalog/triumph-tiger-800-2011-motorcycle-seat.html

They are in excellent condition and include the instructions as well as the stock to low adjusting key, which isn't a standard allen key. Please pm me with your email address and I can send photos etc.

I'm looking for half the rrp so 250 buys them. Delivery will be at cost by registered post and require a signature. Payment will need to be received before I send them, i.e. paypal as "payment to a friend" but I'm happy to consider other options such as cash on collection etc. I'm also prepared to meet somewhere within a reasonable distance of Newcastle (the Geordie one) if that helps.

A great Xmas present for you, your better half etc but please allow 5 days for delivery if you want them before the 24th of December!

Thanks.

Just curious as to what this key is?
I've just got Sargeant seats for my 2018 XRT and it adjust the same as standard i.e. just move the bar with the elasticated strap up and down, no need for a key.

Hello tcbandituk

You can move the "bar with the elasticated strap" up and down like the standard T800 rider seat but on the Sargent seat there are 4 "spacers" that need to be swapped fore and aft as well, otherwise the seat won't fit. If you bought yours new then it should be obvious with the instructions. If it's second hand and without the instructions, then I can understand your confusion. Sorry if this doesn't answer your question.

Hi tommy,

Ah right, it looks like they may have changed the design slightly on the bungs.
Sargeant say they can be moved just by twisting them on and off by hand in the instructions.
