in 15 years of riding in Germany/France ive never come across a hotel that didn't approve of bike riders, ive also never worried too much about security (certainly not in Germany) other than a disc lock and parked on the street, but plenty of hotels have somewhere secure if you are worried
www.booking.com
huge choice

with Walt.
If I need an overnighter, I generally just pre book a cheap hotel such as Premier classe. Never had a problem.
Enjoy the trip. Thinking of doing similar down into bavaria with my youngest.

yep, Premier Classe, cheap as chips (around £30) basic, but clean and decent, simple breakfast included, usually gated too

We've always ridden down to Baden-Baden in one hit, people there have approached us asking if we want a hotel, there are plenty & a tourist info place to help. We camp at Buhl, 11 miles away, some chums stayed in the hotel in the village.

I use Booking.Com and check photos and map to see what parking like, or email them. I am paranoid about Isobelle being nicked though 😊

We stayed in Epernay last year at the Kyriad. The hotel was a pleasant 5 minute walk from the centre of town and the bikes were tucked away in their car park. Hotel was budget but ok. Our rooms overlooked the bikes too. I'd stay there again if in the area. Hope that helps you?
