I imagine for anyone not resident in Kent it would be worthwhile travelling down sarf and stopping around Dover, or maybe North France/ Belgium (Ghent?).
It's 670 miles from ours to Frankfurt via Belgium and that's the shorter route !
Now available in "Batman"

Yo Dilbert; yep that's my plan.
Don't know whether anyone else would be thinking of doing similar, but could maybe meet up before or after the Chunnel and travel en masse.
Still a long time to go to come up with a "Plan".

Usually in May.  :028:

Without 'copy & paste' simply use 'quote', delete 1st and last lines then add new info.

For the last Megameets I took the Hoek van Holland to Harwich Ferry. That ferry is running overnight. I once came down the Dover-Dunkirk Ferry and stayed overnight in Brugge.

On the way up I always stayed overnight in Germany next to the Dutch or Belgian Border. Through Holland and Belgium I mostly stayed on Motorways, they do not have nice country roads (although two times I went over the Delta Works, a series of dams to prevent flooding, that is nice).

On the way back I took mostly the motorway in Holland and did it in one day, that's about 500 kms.
