I know I know. Just commenting on the schedule not my preference. Tank of and airbox inspection easily add 1 hour to overall cost. Personally my iridium plugs have been in at least 7 years now and all good.

I've had issues with fuel before. My scoot kept cutting out which was unusual for the bike, changed the fuel and all good. Also I find when riding abroad my Tiger seems to run more lumpy (2018 xrt) especially when at higher altitude which I thought strange as I'm sure the electrics are suppose to sort the mixture out. I put it down to altitude and crap fuel, maybe more ethanol than we're used to. Twice I been to the Black Forest B500 and noticed a change in the way the bike runs. Once off the high points its smooth again. Maybe something I should have mentioned to my dealer but not over sure I was imagining it?

Sounds odd. I've ridden the high passes, eg Iseran, Bonnette, Timmelsjoch, Stelvio, Grimsel, Susten, etc. not a problem with fuelling. The B500 is only approx. 1,000 feet above sea level at it's highest, shouldn't be any problem, great smooth road.

That was my thinking too. Maybe I was being over sensitive about the running of the bike but it seemed a bit different to me.

The price of a 6k service at a dealer is now 450 in my area. Soooo much money! I plan to service it myself and use the TigerTool to check throttle body balance and only get it serviced if they are unbalanced.

Is there anything else I should consider?

Yep. Get a different bike. I sold my Tiger now largely due to the cost of the service's. My Multistrada 1260 is due for a 9k service...I been told I should expect change from 200, which is what I would expect from an oil/filter change and look over..

Do it all yourself, I give it a minor service every 3k, then get Muddy Sump do a major at 12k. My valves & throttle balance were still all good at 13k.

just wait till they have to check the valves, the desmodronic is a piece of work and it is a very costly business.
Overall I cannot say that servicing my Triumph bikes is more expensive than other makes, that's at least when I do not have to see the Triumph dealer any longer when the warranty runs out. A standard service including the oil for the Tiger is something around 250 Euros incl. VAT then. Spare sparts like the chain, sprockets etc. are extra of course
Life is too short to drink bad wine or to ride bad bikes.
