Tiger Tool
« on: December 23, 2019, 03:57:43 PM »
Good day guys!
Please help I am no expert in software and pc tactics but sure can understand basics.
So I have a Tiger 800 2012 model and downloaded the Tigertool V2.5 and have a ELM bluetooth interface but sure as hell can not get it to do the handshake with each other. My laptop has the follwing ports assigned or displayed as port 7 and port 8 whichever one I try it says cant connect with obd interface.Hence ignition on and kill switch off. :232:

T800XC is the man to ask. TigerTool is his afterall. I would say though you could easily have a bad obd connector.

Have you paired the ELM to your laptop?

I've never used it over BT so I'm shooting at stars here.

Try going into the Control Panel and then Devices and Printers
You should see it in there, right click it and if there's an option ..... 'Connect Using'
Select it and then 'Access Point'

Ok so it seems that i have a interface issue and that the ELM 327 i have is a clone version of what I should have.Unfortunately you cant tell what you bought until you put it to work  :173:.So if someone can point me into the right direction of what to get or look out for so that I can get the right thing. Thanks.

Although still a clone, the most reliable version I've found that's readily available (and currently the only one I tend to use & recommend) is the BBFLY BF32301. You should be able to pick these up from AliExpress (cheapest option), eBay or Amazon.
