Free Spirit Exhaust Header
« on: January 17, 2020, 12:46:41 PM »
Hi
I was wondering if anyone has fitted the Free Spirit Exhaust Header which does awat with the CAT.  If so does it do away with the sensor?

What year 800 you got?

If it's 10-14 you can turn off the O2 sensor in tuneecu, remove it and fit an appropriate bolt in it's place. 15 on you can't.

Im curious why would someone want to turn off / remove the sensor? Is there a benefit in doing so?

It's mainly there for emissions testing. Which happens in a lab with the throttle held at a constant position. Don't know about you but on the road it is almost impossible to hold the throttle at a totally constant setting. Even CC varies to keep a constant speed.
Mine's been off and removed for the last 5 or so years.
