Gone into administration. Thoughts with staff who it is being said have had pension scheme misused, and customers who have paid for but not received their bikes.

It's been looking like a house of cards for some time. It's a shame but I guess the warning signs were all there.
I was thinking the other night that maybe the Bloors should buy Norton then use the Triumph twin engine in a revived line of Norton Atlas and Norton Commando bikes.

Shame, the new bikes looked the part but were, IMO, far to expensive for (most) working class bikers and bulk sales. Priced more like a rich mans pose piece. Shows how astute Bloom has been to take on the Triumph name and create a business worthy of the brand and compete at the Japanese level.
Also owned my 1979 Bonnie T140E from new!

Are these still supposedly manufactured in England ?

The new models looked pretty appealing but yeah, slightly expensive.

Unless he's pulled a scam & set it up as a separate Ltd company.

Wonder what'll happen with the Chinese Norton engine deal.

The Chinese will buy the name and Norton will become another made in China clone selling 250cc bikes with Honda copy engines.
