That looks like just the LED board. If memory serves there should be another in the rear of the housing with the driver electronics.

Watching this with interest.

I deliberately bought my cheapo Chinese spots, direct from China, from an advert that didn't mention the 3 modes.

Needless to say I have them.   What's worse is that the "memory length" of each light is slightly different, so despite both being fed from the same switch I can get them out of sync with each other.

It would be nice to "fix" them to be fully on at all times.  YouTube here I come tonight.

When I bought mine I never realised they had 3 modes, until I turned them on at work early one morning to find them flashing .
Is the mod a relatively easy one ?

On some of them it's straight forward, you need to remove an IC from the board

Given up and ordered some of these. Single phase and a tenner off Ebay. A mate has some on his Beemer and they're really good.

I had a pair of the three mode cree spotlights, I gave up trying to convert them into single mode and bought a pair of the single mode ones. My advice...stop fannying around trying to adapt them and just buy a pair of these one mode babies...main beam only, no flashing mode. Been on my bike three years, no problems and very bright, silver or black finish. AliExpress or Ebay
