Heated seat covid challenge.
« on: March 25, 2020, 11:12:58 PM »
I've purchased some very nice heated seats to replace some old non heated seats on my 2011 xc. I'm looking for something to do whilst I'm holed up at home. Haven't been to b&q to buy paint etc so I'm going to try to wire in these seats..
I've seen the 2 button handlebar mounted heated seat switches from an xrt but need more info on what the 6 point yellow block connector connects to....I'm also having trouble finding a wiring diagram for the 800xrt  so me and a sparky friend can see what we can do. Any help is appreciated. If we are successful I will post up details. Thanks folks.

Cheers. Fired up the old laptop and got the diagram sorted.

Try the parts drawings on Workd of Triumph as a start.

Must try harder   :008:

The harness, though not shown, is probably a fixed part of the switch (item 33), as it is part of the matching grips/fog switch.

There was a sale a while back on WOT and for some reason the other switch (item 30, heated grips & fog lights) was being sold for 18 so I bought one as a spare. It came with a few of the other related parts shown, bracket, mirror bracket, rubber bands, cap screw, button screws. Clearly not the switch you want but having just opened the sealed packaging to see the parts and answer your question I am quite surprised by how long and complex the harness looks on first sight. :028:

Also owned my 1979 Bonnie T140E from new!
