Fork bushes and seals replacement experience
« on: May 04, 2020, 12:28:07 PM »
If anyone is thinking of replacing their fork bushes and seals, my advice is to buy genuine Triumph parts. I attempted the job with an aftermarket kit couldn't get the outer bushes and oil seals to fit  :232:

All sorted now though and excessive play eliminated  :002:

definitely use the triumph bushings.

I replaced the OEM with SKF seals - lower stiction... much nicer ride on the road (less bouncy bouncy on the front).

Just ordered genuine seals after cheap seals off E Bay only lasted 1000 miles. Wont make that mistake again.

I had to do the fork seals 3 times in 2 years after the first set were replaced at a shop with aftermarket ones.  I ended up doing the last change myself with Triumph ones and they've held so far.

Turns out the task was a lot easier than I thought it was.

Go for OEM or SKF mate. Dont buy All Balls crap, they suck arse. It's an easy job.
