New 900 panniers
« on: May 10, 2020, 08:48:42 AM »
Does anyone know the capacity of the expedition panniers on the new 900. Are they both the same or is the right hand one slightly smaller due to the exhaust. Im trying to establish if they look balanced from behind. Thanks

I've seen one photo from the front that looks as if they are equidistant/balanced but can't tell if the right side is the same size. Can't find any pictures from the rear. Try the triumph configurator

The Triumph branded ones are 37ltr both side. If you use the Givi ones you can put a 37ltr on the exhaust side and a 48ltr on the other to look symmetrical .. but as wide as a car.  :005: :008:

Thanks all. Decision made. Keep my Touratech boxes 31 and 37 and find someone to alter my explorer rails to fit the 900, or wait for Touratech to do the rails.

I'm doing the same. Touratech are a bit slow to update their website with details of the 900 pannier frames.  I've spoken to the shop who are taking orders, but no promises on delivery lead time.

I ordered the expedition panniers and rail back in June for my 900.  Got the panniers right away both 37 ltr and the rails where to come in Aug 5.  Just heard today from my dealer that they are back-ordered till at least Oct 27.  :(

I can never understand that a manufacture can advertise/promote a new bike and boasting about the accessories it comes with and cant deliver. I am still waiting for upper crash bars, a relocation kit for the fog lights for my GT PRO which was ordered in June, they tell me September for delivery. I live approx 90 miles from their main factory at Hinckley. I suppose it the sign of the times.  :023: :023:
