The 2 versions of the OEM pannier mounts.
« on: May 12, 2020, 11:19:17 PM »
hello forum...I laid my bike down and I did good bendy job on the exhaust side bar that the pannier sits in. No big deal I thought. Cheap part, easy fix. But not so fast! Turns out there are 2 different types of mounts, mine is the type that has a wire running via a cable under the seat. Now the problem. all the OEM parts I find online are of some other type of mount, any idea where i might be able to find the bar mount for my type of pannier mount?

Thanks, mav! Looking at this site...of course the part I need is unavailable. :-D Fingers crossed that my dealer can work some magic.

Well THAT's embarrassing. Uhhhg...how did I NOT think of e-bay...so stupid. Looks like the part, but it gives me pause because it's not matte like mine. Different model year? Different fit? Still scratching my head as to why Triumph came up with 2 competing designs for the same panniers. Would love to know the story behind that.

I think the system with the cable is a later design. This may help if that's what your after.
