Just had my grab rails and mirror arms powder coated.
« on: May 20, 2020, 08:26:13 PM »
Both grab rails were looking tired and letting the bike down and one of the mirror arms were slightly corroded so I've had them all powder coated.  40 all in to have them done, I think they look a lot better.

Looks very nice... but that's a slippery slope once you start  :001:

Hindley Engineering Ltd down Platt Lane in Hindley, I've used them a few times and they are really good.

That is true, I did have a good look around the bike and there was nothing else I wanted do apart from maybe the wheels at some point but that was just being really particular 🤣

Excellent. Mine are very much the same "before" look. Must see what I can get done.

Cheers, I know exactly where you mean...I worked there decades ago when the whole place was Berger Paints...now it's all separate units.  :002:

They look nice.  Grab rails on the Tigers I've seen, mine included, always look a bit tired.

I think it was a problem with the earlier (pre '15) models which were a silver colour. The grab handles on my '14 looked like that had a stain on them from the base of a cordura duffle bag I fit on the rear seat. I could never get rid of it. The handles on the '16 are a darker colour and don't appear to have been stained even though I still use the same duffle.
