Should I spray my high mudguard or carbon wrap it?
« on: May 23, 2020, 08:15:59 AM »
I've just purchased a high level mudguard for my 2011 roadie thats crystal white but the mudguard is blue.

Im thinking of wrapping it in carbon vinyl as an easier way to match it up as I think it might look quite smart with all the other black on the bike already.

If anyone has any experiance on sourcing the crystal white paint and spraying please share as I might consider spraying it if its cheap enough.

I paid 45 for the mudguard kit which I thought was a decent price even in the wrong colour as they seem as rare as hens teeth now really.

or another thought I've had is wrapping it in white, it wont be a match obviously but I wonder if this might work as its not in contact with any other white panels directly.

Carbon wrap should look sweet.

One of the triumph outlets was clearing out some orange beaks at 25 a while back. Having an orange bike I couldn't believe my luck.  :001:

Ive just had a look on there ebay site and there is none I can see, I not had a look on there website though.

Ive done a bit of seraching online the last few days and most websites all say no stock or discontinued. The best best is ebay second hand like me or facebook, on here etc.

They seem to vary from around 50 like I paid to 100

Thats just for the painted bit, it doesnt include the support or any of the bolts etc, when you go down to the support it says out of stock. Works out at 102 plus delivery if it was in stock.

Ive ordered some carbon wrap off ebay, it was only a tenner for enough to have 3 goes if I balls it up. I'll take some pics when they've arrived and i've done it.

I think it should look pretty smart, I found a picture of a black beak on a white tiger 800 roadie and that looked nice so the carbon is a similar look.
