Rich

You know where there is a 18 MY XRT if you need to try anything. It also has Steel mate fitted.

...and they work when fitted to the 1200 in the garage. Test ride tomorrow.

Did you have any luck with the Steel-mate TP-90 external sensors?

Some luck last year when I started playing with this, but the different sensors I used in today's very successful test ride are easier to integrate and, I think, a bit smaller.

Apart from my USB adaptor vibrating loose and temporarily killing power to my prototype system today, it all worked perfectly. So concept proved and time to go get the hardware design sorted.

Time for an update...

I've been successfully testing the much smaller 2nd prototype today. Having had to learn the ins & outs of a new processor, including programming it, the design is now sound so what should hopefully be the final schematic is underway. I need to find a suitable small enclosure to house the PCB and USB connectors but it also needs to be reasonably weatherproof.

The design allows for custom user setting of front & rear low/high pressure trigger levels and pressure offset calibration. Any firmware upgrades can easily be installed by the user with a simple Windows app.

Ok, this isnt in  my remit so please excuse is this is a stupid question,

On the later models, Im assuming a receiver is built into the head Unit or ecu etc.  So can any sensors be coded to the bike?

Ive currently got the Michelin valve set up, works great and battery lasts weeks

All models have the TPMS receiver built-in as part of the immobiliser but this only works with the official Triumph TPMS sensors.

As explained above, my system allows integration of specific aftermarket screw-on sensors with the bike's dash / instruments.

Its great to see your progress with this.

It may not be ideal nor could I guaranteed how weatherproof it would be but I am happy to help design and 3D print a custom enclosure for the electronics.
