Ok Day 2 of the tour

Hannah decides a walk round a few pubs is better than biking it ( Nah can't be any fun in that  :P ) and just see what you missed  :cool:

ok the things i have to suffer just to get to the meeting point with Chris

I got there a couple of mins before Chris and saw this lovely sitting in the sun

and then this beauty sat in the sun  :cool:

Chris turns up and we set off about 6 miles to stop number one

Surprise View , Derwent water in the foreground and basselthwaite  lake beyond.

don't walk to far forward (it's a big drop)

Always look Behind you for other views

onward we travel over honister pass and along buttermere to Crummock water ( Chris has video of honister )

Very picturesque lake this one

After crummock we head over past lowes water and up towards cold fell ( getting a glimpse of the solway firth and scotland on the way

After crossing cold fell and getting a view of windscale / sellafield nuclear establishment we drop down to Wastwater ( britain's best view )

then we head off down to Ritsons Bar for lunch ( home of the worlds biggest liar ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World's_Biggest_Liar

after wastwater we head via santon bridge and boot past eskdale green and onto Hardknott pass

and the bit left to go (YES It really  IS that STEEP )

The Ulpha Valley escape route for those wimps that can't manage the passes  ;)

we hung a left just after wry nose and headed over side gates to the langdales

remember always look back

after side gates a little known goat track over to red bank ( back of grass mere lake ) and some awesome views to end the day

take the bike to the view
