A suggestion

I hope nobody takes this the wrong way, but I feel there should be two separate subforums for Tiger 800 and Tiger 900: Tiger 800 - General discussion and Tiger 900 - General discussion. Just a thought

That got shot down !

Still thinking about how to separate the 800 & 900's in the forum. Open to suggestions but will probably make separate sections and boards with any XC boards merged with the normal boards.

(Will move this topic to Forum Help board at some point  :038: )
Need Support ? Post issues in this section: Forum Help / Issues / Problems
Alternatively, pm me about private or commercial issues/questions.

Check the forum I'm coming from, when I was riding my Africa twin, their structure is
pretty easy and well done in my opinion.

Yes, I didn't realise I was posting in the wrong section really. Sorry.

IMO the 900 should be a separate forum. Judging by all the negative comments on here, not many will be upgrading. So likely to be mostly new riders to the marque, 675 riders looking for a bit of comfort or 1200/1050 riders downsizing. Unlikely they'd won't want to be sifting through all this 800 stuff or getting sidetracked by people who don't ride or want a 900. :164:

Good point Paulhere, it would be interesting to see the ratio of forum members with 900s vs 800s. If we keep the 800 forum going strong I suspect the spinoff  900 forum members would use the much more comprehensive 800 forum anyway. A separate 900 forum would be pretty sparse, with very little information.

I would agree with that Chuckxc, to a point, but the 900 forum would grow, just as the 800 forum did. I'm sure some of the old info' would be of use but it is mostly a new bike.

Maybe the best thing would be to just have a separate section for now, then when numbers of 900s are sufficient, spin it off in a separate forum? So much of the non-technical stuff is still of interest.

Yes, basically that's what I was suggesting myself.

On a totally different note, Alberto, can I just say that I'm intrigued by your avatar picture (or whatever it's called)?
