Maybe the best thing would be to just have a separate section for now, then when numbers of 900s are sufficient, spin it off in a separate forum?

Only problem is that you can't migrate those 900 based topics into a new forum. If a 900 forum was started at a later date then it would start bare.

Since the Tiger900 is Triumph's replacement for the Tiger800, it seems fitting that the forum is as it is now: Tiger 800/900 series.
There are a terrible lot of lies going about the world, and the worst of it is that half of them are true.

Fully agree and as I so far had no chance to ride the new 900 don't agree with "no one of the Tiger 800 riders will like the 900 as it is so different". That the Tiger 900 is different is probably true but then my current car is completely different to the beetle I had as a student. The times are a changing guys...

I think a considerable amount of users of this forum may change to the 900 if they need to and some have already done it. Let's keep this community together.

Are we saying that the differences between the 800 and 900 are not enough to warrant a new website?
For example, the Tiger 1200 features are significantly different (e.g. drive shaft, suspension, etc) and it makes sense to have a separate website.
The 800 has evolved with many changes over nearly 10 years but the changes never warranted a different website. Engine capacity and some design changes are not necessarily a reason to branch into a different website. It is still a mid-size adventure bike.
Laterally unstable unless moving.

But, what about the Tiger 1050/Sport? Is the 900 a replacement for this bike also? No signs of a new model.
Current bikes Tiger800 XRx, Tiger Sport 1050, Ariel FH 650, Yam Serow 225.

On a totally different note, Alberto, can I just say that I'm intrigued by your avatar picture (or whatever it's called)?

It was in northern Spain last year, I got stopped as there was a cattle show going on and they started driving the cows up the road. One came over to take a closer look at me  :001:

I was luckier than one of my pals who was following a bit later and got barged off his 1050 Sport  :492:

Being rammed by a Buffalo would be a lot worse than Daisy the dairy cow  :001:
