Depends on the quality of the sprocket but again generally the front wears quicker. 
The chain and sprockets I've just replaced:
Chain and rear sprocket lasted 56,173km. The front that less 7,000km. So the front I've just taken off could have lasted longer but the chain was shagged. I suppose I could have changed them all at the same time 7k km ago but the chain didn't seem too bad.

Pretty weird how did I manage 36K Km on my honda with the same front sprocket,
because the rear was getting shot !!!

Your 7K longevity made me want to check mine, I think it's still in pretty good shape,
what do you think !?
