I'm sure you have tried this, but mine always fails the first time and works when I re-connect.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I have tried it. 3 different ways.
1. Clicking Connect again
2. Closing the software and trying to reconnect
3. Disconnecting the USB OBD cable and reconnecting and trying to reconnect.

AAAAANNNNNNNDDDDD...... It's working. Had to uninstall the drivers and reinstall the drivers. I had initially ruled that out since it was able to load as a serial com port, detect the ECU, attempt the handshake, etc. But after doing that, it worked.

HUGE thanks to T800XC. He's a life saver... and a pocket book saver  Just moved to SC and the local shop here charges 1/2 hr shop time just to clear the code... When I asked why, they said it's a 30 min job, which I knew was BS because I've done it on other vehicles (and bikes). I'm guessing that's just their minimum fee... but I'm glad I don't have to pay it.

What a brilliant tool! Worked perfectly on my 2014 800XC, after I read through this thread and bought a cable that seemed to be compatible.

My cable was from ebay, Proscan Automotive and cost about £15 delivered. I ignored the CD that came with it and all worked fine.

First time I tried it was with an OBD2 interface that was originally bought for a BMW car, but barely worked even then. No joy with that. Make sure any prospective cable supports the quoted interface standard in the Tigertool instructions.

Reset the service interval at last!
