    What did you try?

Before you try to reset the date (days until service), make sure the date on your bike AND on your PC match, otherwise you may get errors.

This tool has yet again proved to be invaluable, just cleared an annoying DTC code that came up becuase I was fiddling with relays chasing an electric fault (which I resolved).

Can also confirm that the tool works no problem in Windows 11 in case anyone was wondering.

    Thank you!

Hi @t800xc. Really appreciate your efforts with TigerTool. Just wondering if you have an update on the release of version 3.4 or V4?

    Cheers

    Hi guys,

I bought a obdII elm327 USB interface from a reputable website in Belgium. TT recognises the interface yet I keep getting ecu read error after the handshake.
    CO
The cable did not came with any drivers so I let WIN10 download the (assumed) correct driver. It shows up as a serial driver in the COM AND LPT section with driver installed from windows

Side note: bikes battery was below 12v

    Bike: Tiger 800xc 2012

    Any suggestions or help welcome

    cheers

Can you provide a link to the website and item you bought?

In my experience, just because the website seems reputable doesn't mean they sell reliable ELM327 interfaces.

The 'ECU Read Error' message implies that the ECU failed to respond to a basic request for information. Take a look back at reply #303 on page 31 of this topic for information on accessing the debug window.

Letting Windows install the drivers is the correct way to go. I never recommend using drivers that come bundled with these leads.

Battery voltage shouldn't be an issue. I've successfully used TigerTool on bikes with a much lower battery voltage than yours.

I tried  the bluetooth version of that cable.  Didn't work for me either on my 2018 800XRt.  I bought the dealer tool.  It costs a bit more, but it works flawlessly.
