2014 tiger vibration ?
« on: July 25, 2020, 09:57:14 PM »
I have owned My 800 tiger since 2017 and since i have owned it there has always been a noise which i believe is clutch related (it is alot quiter when the clutch lever is pulled in) on my last few rides I have noticed that a vibration can be felt between 2000/3000 rpm and find it difficult to ride the bike smoothly after 3000 rpm it seems to be ok ? Is there a clutch release bearing or something which could cause this problem ? v.m.t  Bryan

Has the throttle body balance been checked at any point during your ownership?

Hi no the throttle bodies have not been balanced since i have owned the bike and yes the vibration seems to be there in any gear. The bike had about 2500 miles when I purchased it and has now covered just over 8000 and ridden carefully.

Throttle body balance check would be where Id start with this. Probably the cheapest place to start too.
