Bent Pannier Rack
« on: July 27, 2020, 03:49:19 PM »
Hi All,

Wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so put it in General, apologies if it should be elsewhere.

I was on grass, tried offroad mode on my XCX to see how slippery it was.  Turns out it was quite slippery and had a low speed off.  Nothing too serious.  I had my Kappa aluminium panniers on at the time, the right one hit the deck and was absolutely fine, not even a mark on it.  However, the pannier rack is now a bit bent.  Still able to put it on the bike but the rack is a bit wonky now.  One of the mounting brackets is bent a bit, which I'll try to straighten out, but the rack itself is a bit bent too.

So, the question is whether anyone has any advice about straightening out the rack without seriously compromising the strength?

Thanks,

Craig
