Hi new member here. Love the forum; so much good info. and so helpful to me in choosing my bike.

Picked up my Tiger this weekend. Has some good bits on it; Wilbers, Madstad screen and Sargent seat. Going to take it back to standard for a bit at least so I can work you what I need/want.

Need a few bits and bats too, though; front screen mount for original screen, rear reflector and fancy a a high front mudguard, so may post a few wanted posts in the forum if I can.

Best wishes

Hi and :401:

I understand you want to try the standard items but luckily you have 3 of the best improvements already and will likely refit them fairly quick ... Wilbers, Madstad and Sargent seat/s. The standard (and Touring) Triumph screen is a noisy buffeting nightmare for 95% of Tiger owners ... hence the popularity of the Madstad, Puig and similar. I recently acquired a set of Sargent seats (just before lockdown) and have since (even though off the bike over 3 months) gone out and done 2 consecutive straight 6hr riding days no problem on them ... no way I could manage that on the standard seat.
Also owned my 1979 Bonnie T140E from new!

The other day I was checking out the prices of Sargent seats; I couldnt believe my eyes. Is there anything of similar quality but less expensive?
