Tiger 900 Turn signals in Canada
« on: September 12, 2020, 10:04:03 PM »
Hello.

I have posted A picture of my rear turn signal on my Tiger.  The back ones when I put the turn signal on or hit the break go red.  I'm pretty sure most places in the UK the signals have to be amber.  I was looking at the UK site and it looks like the signal it self is half the size as the ones here.  I was wondering if the light is amber and when you hit the breaks do they go red or turn on at all?

The base model 900 has bulb indicators, the others have Led and are smaller.

I think the UK is the same as here in Australia, legally the turn signals must be amber whenever turning.
I suppose they could be red if you're  using only the brake without a turn.
Do you know what the regulations are in Canada?

Here they can be red or amber.  I just wish they looked smaller like the ones in the UK.  I think they have to sell them that size but no one ever pulls you over if you change them to smaller ones.  May have to find a place that will ship the UK OEM ones here.  :)

I finally moved to Australia permanently from the US in 1984 and shipped my motorcycle over. The first ride out I got pulled over by the police shortly after I made a turn. Turns out (no pun intended) I neglected to notice my US bike had red turn signal lights while every other vehicle in the country had amber.  (And no, I hadn't bothered to get it registered at that time.)   :211:
