So the ceramic balls must be encased in a sheaf otherwise you have a pile of balls on the floor.  Big enough cut/s on sheaf, balls fall out etc etc etc.

Interesting article in the New Scientist about this material back in July.

Nowhere does it seem to mention how well the material stands up to bolt cutters or similar, but it does appear to do well with tools that move at speed (i.e. grinders & drills).

Aluminum is easy to melt so a pocket torch could probably defeat it. I would try an angle grinder with 2 or 3 different types of cutting disks stacked. The theory would be that each disk has its own resonance. Good chance of creating some waves that would cancel some of the sphere's ability to function.  :001:

I wondered how anything could be manufactured from it, if its impossible to cut it. Unless it can be formed into a product as it is created?
