P1521 Fault Code
« on: September 19, 2020, 05:46:16 PM »
The last two times I tried to start the bike, the engine check light (MIL) stayed on. I read the fault code as P1521 defined as Lost Comms with ABS. Both times, I cleared the fault code and the bike functioned without any issues during the ride out.

I am assuming the fault was detected during start up. Possible reasons people have suggested for this problem are:

1. Low battery
2. Connector issue with one of the wheel speed sensors
3. Damaged wiring to a speed sensor
4. Moving the bike with the ignition on but before the engine is started

It's not a big issue but a bit of a pain to get out my note pad out each time I want to go for a ride in order to clear the fault code. I will have a close look at the bike before the next ride but would be interested if anyone had had the same problem :084:
