The Gen 3 Tiger does have excellent MPG but bear in mind the displayed fuel consumption figure is out by the same amount the speedometer is which is about  8% so your 66 MPG is about 60 MPG which is still impressive for a touring bike.

Mine is out by more than 8%, I'd say somewhere around 12% less than what the display says.

I do remember that when my TFT speedometer reads 75 mph my GPS tells me it's actually 70mph.

When Ive bothered to look, my 900 has been using between 3.9 and 5.4 Litres per 100km depending how Im riding it, although its mostly over 5 for some reason....
I think its pretty much the same as my gen 2 800, although I dont really pay much attention to that.

Sounds like the Gen3 have a far bigger error than the Gen2 for whatever reason. Good for the licence eh. My '16 being 70 gps when display shows 72mph. Unless I have an odd one. It is very close throughout the range eg 30/31, 50/52.
Current bikes Tiger800 XRx, Tiger Sport 1050, Ariel FH 650, Yam Serow 225.

My 2012 Tiger roadie 54K on the clock does between 48/52 mpg but my 2018 Bonneville Street Cup 2K on the clock does 80/85 mpg amazing or what.

My 3rd gen Tiger does  62MPG most of the time and if I don't take highways on travels I have managed 70,
but It's sure not very frequent, though I hardly go under 60 it's really great ! All this is me calculating not
the computer numbers, which are grossly wrong on mine.
Unlike my Yami whith which going slow or fast, always does 52MPG no changes  :191:

About the 900, it's logical look with 88cc more of capacity, the air fuel mix is the same so overall it will be
10% "larger" and with Euro5 there is also a good chance, they increased the fuel injected in cylinders as I
have read a simple way to decrease Nox, is having a cooler chamber and that's done simply adding fuel.

At least Triumph don't lie about that, on spec cheets the 800 is said to do 4.7l/100 and 900 does 5.2l/100,
which is a 10% increase.

66-74 mpg currently riding solo with top box and Asda petrol on a typical Yorkshire Dales ride out. About 10% will be motorway or fast A roads. Average speed about 38 mph.

Well pleased I can fill the tank and get home without a refill.

Honda 90 c200, Norton Dominator 99, Triumph (Saint) T110, Triumph 750 T140 ES, Triumph Bantam Cub, Triumph Tiger Cub, BSA 650 Golden Flash, Honda CBF 1000, Triumph Sprint GT, Tiger 800 XrX low. 2018 Tiger 800 XRT.

Btw I am quite puzzled, all Triumph websites or online specs, say the tanks is 19l, but in my owner's manual page 209 it's said 20l ???
