was you able to get your deposit back ? I also had a demo on a Yamaha 900 tracer gt and found that to be worse as the tingles came right through the frame which was a shame as the price is right with a stonking engine. All down to personal findings what affects me may not bother anyone else.
I brought the XRT from the same dealer who transferred the deposit from the 900 so wasnt a problem for me thankfully.
One thing I did on the 900 that I wish I didnt was grip the frame with my knees ( like I used to grip the tank on my Ninja) wow, then you really feel the vibes,  your quite safe to that on the 800 though, this is when you feel the biggest difference between the 2 bikes.
Had a 900 tracer for a short period of time, ultimately god rid of it due to the poor fueling, poor suspension and lastly the vibes.
