2 up chain play
« on: October 06, 2020, 04:39:53 PM »
Hello I do a lot of 2 up riding and my question is what play should I have when adjusting the chain on the Center stand so when dropped back onto its wheel gives me the right adjustment I have a tiger 800 abs 2014
Thanks

I was after the same answer because I need to adjust my newly installed chain with the bike on the centre stand. Previous posts indicate that you get 5 mm more slack on the centre stand than when the bike is standing on both wheels. Therefore, if you adjust it between 25 - 35 mm on the stand, you should get 20 - 30 mm on two wheels.

In my opinion is better to have the chain to the more free play side according specs, instead of tight side, tight chain can do more damage
