New Tiger 800 XRT owner

My 2018 Tiger 800 XRT arrived yesterday and i love it, first Triumph i've owned coming from a Honda CB650R.Has 3300 miles and not a mark on it, it's super clean.

Things to do, bigger windshield and maybe i'll have to remove the heed crash bars it came with as the bolt is digging into my right leg, it's a real pain, also a new slip on exhaust but not a priority.







Got stung on the insurance, £650 was the lowest full comp insurance i could get as i have a claim on my first 125 that was stolen, would have been around £250 if it was not for that, looking forward to lots of miles in comfort.

Thats one fugly screen. Have you tried an mra spoiler, worked a treat for me!

How tall are you?.

I'm no where near 6'4 but I also tried a taller screen thinking it would block the airflow to my head, but it just generated as much "dirty" air as the standard screen (and flapped around alot). The spoiler when fitted can be adjusted in conjunction with the standard screen to create a more "clean" airflow.

Any ideas what i can do about this bolt that's on the crash bars digging into my leg?, it's bruised up from it, shame to have to take them off.

Just to be sure, what's your aim, to have no air pushing on your helmet at all, or decrease the noise
of the airflow !?

Because in most cases if it's the noise that bothers you, completely shielding a helmet, induces more
low frequency noises, which can be worse than the higher frequency wind noise.

I have crash pads on my XRT and same thing for me on the RHS, it massively improved, changing the
pegs by the SWmotech adjustable height ones somehow !
Maybe your legs will experience the same, but it depends on your morphology.

I wouldn't mind a bit of air on the top of the helmet but it's right in my face.
