Yes. A little birdie told me last month it was coming. Makes sense.
Can’t add anything though. In fact my source was only assuming it had the “900” engine but hadn’t ruled out a stoked 765.

If it's purely road focused but more or less the same, then why not just call it a 900 Sport.   :033:

It does seem an odd choice, I wonder whether it'll become clearer as more details emerge, or if it's just some marketing quirk.

Topic of conversation on the T800 FaceBook site, the article linked seemed to suggest that it was a replacement for the Tiger Sport, rather than a new version of the Tiger 800, or 900  :084:

from what I have heard they try to position this Tiger Sport below the Tiger 900 range pricewise, so maybe that's the idea behind the 850 in the name.

That’s plausible. BMW has been doing it for ages. Personally I think it’s an odd strategy but presumably there’s some logic to it.

correct but from what I know only in the F 650/800 two inline models and their sucessors...
