Grey Pillion Seat
« on: October 30, 2020, 09:07:24 AM »
My 2014 Tiger 800 XC came with a grey pillion seat.

Did they all come with this colour? I don't really like it and would sooner have a black one to match the rider seat.
Wonder if the 2015-on 800 seat will fit?

My gut feeling is that's the comfort seat.

I think the part number is the standard one. Here's how it looks...

As far as I know all the early tigers came with a black rider seat and a grey pillion as standard, not sure about post 2014 models. This is my 2012, definitely grey pillion  :002:

yup my '12 roadie has a grey pillion seat. The best way to see if later models' seats fit is to check part nos on world of triumph or similar

They are all interchangeable across all 800 models.

My 2012 has the same thing, but the pillion seat fabric is cracked and tearing while the main seat is perfectly fine. So I don't know what they were trying to accomplish there.

I need to find someone who does upholstery and get them to fix it.

Thanks! So it looks like they were all grey!

I may purchase the black one from the later Tiger's but it looks like it has slightly different design (visible stitching) so might not match the rider seat.

I guess youd have 3 options, get a later one off ebay, Ive seen someone does an anti slip cover, thats black or probably the best option just get it re covered. Probably cheaper than buying one second handIm sure there must be a place near you.
