Tiger handguard
« on: November 18, 2020, 10:36:02 AM »
Can someone tell me the part number for the OEM Tiger handguard? (metal brace part) i can't seem to find one, it looks similar to Barkbusters.

I have a 20180 XRT.

Are you referring to the OEM plastic handguard or to a metal barkbuster? I would be interested to know if there was an OEM version of the latter?

The metal part, that's an actual Barkbuster part?.

It's probably terminology but, on my other bike, the metal hand protectors are referred to as barkbusters - not to be confused with the company of the same name.

For the T800, the hand guards produced by the company, Barkbusters, come with both the plastic handguard and the metal hand protector - at least the ones I've looked at. However, the hand guards on my T800XCA are just plastic with no metal to give them extra strength.

Are you after metal reinforcement for the OEM plastic guards?

Mine came like this, is this OEM?, has had a fall, may have to replace right hand side metal barkbuster.

OK, looking at a video it seems stock just have the plastic wind protection, looks like these are barkbusters that came fitted.

What you have there is Barkbusters Storm Handguards fitted to Barkbusters backbones.
