Another Tiger handguard question
« on: November 19, 2020, 01:20:25 PM »
So after fitting the oxford heated grips to my Tiger xrx 800 it's now an impossible squeeze fitting my winter gloves comfortably and safely under the stock plastic wind/hand guards as they ridiculously taper in at the sides!
Does anyone know of another handguard which will fit the bike with a bigger space?

Ok great stuff,  these appear to have more room towards the outside of the grip and around the levers as they should anyway (Triumph 🤦‍♂️)
Have you guys had experience of them?

Why not use thinner gloves  and turn the heated grips up a bit higher!!

Have a look at the Barkbusters Storm Handguards, they offer a bit more protection.

Yeah I've had a look thanks,  the main issue is the guards encroaching into the space the hand occupies. The Triumph stock one tapers in from the outside with a 'cover' .. it's this cover that gets in the way.
So I'm after a design with a more open hand area.. this one looks good https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/barkbusters-vps-handguard-kit-triumph-tiger-800-explorer?sku_id=1082461

Oxford heated grips + Barkbusters with storm plastics = warm hands. I still wear my winter gloves as well and I'm generally warm.

Beats Triumph heated grips by a big margin.

I have the Barkbuster storm handuards and stock Triumph heated grips. Plenty of room for my large hands and thick winter gloves. I wouldn't want the other style Barkbuster plastics. They look like less wind protection.
