don't do the "back-to-the-bike" pickup with a Tiger though - the Tiger lies very flat/horizontal whereas the BMW has two huge coffee tins on the side which act as fulcrums
best way IMO to pick-up a Tiger (from oft-repeated experience) is the "door-open" method whereby you open-up the front wheel to give you as much space as possible on the lifting side and then, using your legs from the squat position, lift on the handlebar with both hands, straight-back and walk into the bike
that works for the first two lifts, on the third you phone a friend and on the fourth you get out the camping gear and stay for the night :-)
