21 inch Front Tyre 90/90 or 110/80??

My 2016 XCX came with a brand new Anakee 3 on the rear and still has the original tyre on the front that's on the way out.... Have read good and bad things about the Anakee, but mainly good for the road use i'll mostly be doing (wearing ear plugs all the time!!). So i guess i'll replace the front with a new Anakee 3...

But what's the difference in feel etc between the standard 90/90 and wider 110/80 R21's? I have gone through pages on here and lots of mention of wider fronts on the 19 roadies, but little mention of the big 21's

Because wider 110/80 21" just do not exist, you have tubes on your XCA so you are limited to
tube types mostly bias ply and 21" then only goes max to 100 width but rarely.

Thanks for the reply. And yes you are right. It was late last night and i was brainwashed by the number of 110/80 posts on 19 inch fronts. Not to mention the number of Bud's i drank!!

 So it's 90/90 21 Anakee 3 for the front then!!

I don’t think they make the Anakee 3 available in the UK, to fit the Tiger XC anymore ☹️ I used to have them and was always impressed 👍 I have now moved on to the equally capable Anakee Adventure tyres. I was unsure when I was first advised to use them but I’m happy with the upgrade.  Another great Michelin tyre.

Thanks for the advice. If I didn’t have a nearly new Anakee 3 on the rear, I would be thinking of a pair of Anakee Adventures as they look sooo much better.

There are several online tyre sellers that still have the 3. MyTyres.co.uk are a sound option. I better get one before they are all gone 👍
