On Ebay for a about a tenner. Has anyone any experience of them as an alternative to Optimates?

Can't say I'm keen on Chinese products due to the hit or miss quality of the electrical components.

whereas Optimate have an excellent reputation and a cracking warranty backup.

I have a fairly extensive experience of Optimate products, and they have always been very reliable and the UK distributors are very helpful

I would be very wary of an unknown brand on fleabay - That CE mark looks a bit iffy to me - see below link - probably a case of spend a tenner and either burn your house down or at the best knacker your battery.

Better to pay a little extra for a known brand from a reputable source.

Reviews mostly good, so, ok if ya get a good'n. Likely similar to the ones Aldi & Lidl have been selling recently.

Try this.

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/best-seller-foxsur-6v-12v-08a-4a-motorcycle-car-batery-charger-microprocessor-control-i1018240392-s2715202373.html?spm=a2o4k.searchlist.list.11.70a24ccbGbRvcP&search=1

I bought this during the lockdown about six or seven months ago and it has served me well to charge the cars at home.
I have a Motobatt motorcycle charger 1A which I actually used to charge the car batteries but it didn't work with  only 1A.

So i shopped around and this 4A is great for charging car/SUV batteries. It can also charge motorcycle batteries at 0.8A but i use the Motobatt for that.

I recommended this particular model to a few riding buddies of mine and they have been pleased with it for charging their bikes.
