New/old Tiger rider and new to the forum

Just like to introduce myself as a new member to the forum. I'm British/Swiss located in Lausanne, Switzerland. I'm not a new Tiger owner as I previously had a 2014 Tiger 800 for 3 years (on which I did 40'000km around Europe before selling it). I regretted selling it because I then had a 2016 Explorer XRT for a year and a half but just sold it as it was way too heavy and have just bought a Tiger 900 Rally Pro (green & white, which i will pick up this Saturday). It's a demo model with 1'000km on the clock and CHF 2'000 cheaper than a completely new one. I've been riding Triumphs since 1997 and I also own a 1995 Thunderbird (cream and red).
My wife normally travels with me and we have toured a lot. This year (covid permitting) we intend to travel from Switzerland to Morocco. Then in two years time, I will have a years sabbatical and we are planning to take the bike around South America, but especially spending a lot of time in Colombia.

I joined the forum to get tips about the maintenance of this bike as well as optional add-ons, problems solving etc.

I've been on the Triumph RAT NET for quite4 a few years as ProfThunder but on that forum I only really post things about T3 TBird issues.

Welcome, if you need a traveling buddy I also go around Europe with my Tiger, I'm based in Neuchâtel !

I'd love to do the Andes as well, but from what I read, better send a bit too flashy new Triumph, or you'll get followed by thieves.
