Hello from Teesside
« on: January 17, 2021, 11:51:46 AM »
Took a plunge yesterday and bought myself a 2013 tiger. Haven't seen it in the flesh yet,  and wont be picking it up til end of Feb. I'm new to this style of bike, my other is a BMW F800S that I've had for the last 7years that now has 66000 miles on. Looking forward to a more comfy  ride!!

Mdg1157, welcome to the forum , just to say that my first Tiger was a 2013 roadie(non ABS).
And although it is basically a great bike , the suspension was a tad on the harsh side. The front had too much compression damping and would jar on bumps etc..
The rear was not bad but a 7 year old bike might have a bit worn suspension. Sorry, not trying to put a downer on your new purchase because I bit the wallet and changed out the rear shock and installed new front internals AND this improved the bike no end. The improvement in handling was worth about an extra 10BHP on the engine in that it made the power more accessible.
Hope you get as much fun out of your Tiger as I did (and still do)..
