900 Rally Pro - accessing valve on rear wheel

Hi Everyone,

Just got my 900 Rally Pro on Saturday. Went to check the tyre pressures and found the valve on the front wheel to face outwards on the right side of the bike - this was always the case on other triumphs I had. However, the rear valve is on the left side (ie the side whit the chain). I found this a bit odd as its more difficult to access and with all my previous bikes the valves pointed out to the right side.

So is this normal on a Tiger 900 Rally Pro?

It's almost impossible to access the valve with the pressure gauge that I own - probably will have to get another one.

On my GT they both face the right side of the bike.

Thanks for the replies. It would be good to hear from a Rally owner as the wheels on the GT are not the same as the spoked wheels on the Rally.

The valve on my 900  rally pro rear wheel points to the left, you would need to remove the tyre to get this changed

Actually, to get the valve pointing to the right is not just a case of taking off the tyre and rotating the valve. As it is currently set up, the valve points out to the left side where there is a reasonably large gap between the spokes. However, if you rotated the valve to point to the right, the valve wouldn't be accessible at all because on the opposite side of the wheel at that point, the spokes appear too close together. This could indicate that the rim has been put on the wrong way in the first place.

Just looked at the rear tyre and it is on the Left so yours is Correct,  I will now have to change my spare rear wheel value position from the right to the left when I next change the tyre, you can get to the valve but a bit awkward.

Yes, rear left, front right. Had new tyres after 9500 miles and stayed the same. Maybe because of the TPMS? I use a pressure gauge with a flexible hose.
