Spare connector post rebuild 2015 xcx 800
« on: February 04, 2021, 09:14:46 PM »
Hi. I have stripped my bike down to give it a deep clean. When rebuilding i seem to have a spare connector near the abs unit/ under the air filter intake just in front of the ecu. I will try to attach a couple of photos. Is this supposed to be spare because i can't for the life of me see where it fits

Thanks in advance

Craig

If it was a spare it would have a blanking plug in it mate. Looks like an air temp sensor plug. Check your airbox

I checked the wiring diagram in haynes manaul yellow and red cable and brown and pink. Shows it connected to the purge valve. Do the 2015 xcx have purge valves or is this now a spare connector. Thanks again

You're fine .... it is for the 'evaporative loss control system' for certain markets, not the UK.  :028:

Item 7 would connect to it ...

Good shout. I think this connector was tucked away so didn't realise when i dismantled. Also when i thought about it i looked at the colours on the wiring diagram which then backed up the other comments ref the eavp system
