It may be that a (stock) T800 doesn't have the breathing (combustion chamber efficiency / intake - exhaust equipment) to flow more above 8,000 RPM? If so, more throttle opening would just lower intake vacuum with little to no performance improvement?

Its quite possible that I won't make any more power, but the thought of them dumbing the powerband down just to appease a power restriction from another country (I live in the US) just bothers the hell out of me.

This is what the map should look like, and what is on the 900. That being said, both are more restrictive than the 800 to keep down to the 95hp limit.

The same method was used to restrict the 800 to the 35kW limit for UK learners. I looked and the only difference was the ETV table. Everything else was the same. I think you can agree that its easy to see. The throttle only opens to 32%!
